Dr. Anzaldua is currently practicing at the OakBend Sugar Land Family Practice. He is chairman of the OakBend Medical Group.

Graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Edwards University, Austin, Texas with BS in Biology.  Attended University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio and received his medical degree in 1982.  In 1985, he completed residency training in Family and Community Medicine.   He is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice.  Dr. Anzaldua is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, which recognizes members who have distinguished themselves among their colleagues, by their service to family medicine, their advancement of healthcare to the American people, and by their professional development through medical education and research.

Dr. Anzaldua founded Sugar Land Family Physicians, which has been a part of OakBend Medical Group since 2002.  He has been practicing in the Sugar Land area since 1985, and has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine of the University of Texas Medical School at Houston since 1994.  He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medcine at Baylor College of Medicine.

The City of Sugar Land and the City of Stafford have selected Dr. Anzaldua as their Medical Director of Emergency Medical Services.  He is also a current member of the Emergency/Trauma Care Policy Council for the Houston/Galveston area.  In June 2006, he was appointed by City Council as the first Health Authority for the City of Sugar Land.  He also was appointed to the Govenor's EMS and Trauma Advisory Council (GETAC) Stroke Committee.

He is married with three children and has been a resident of Sugar Land for the past 23 years.  Dr. Anzaldua is a member of the St. Laurence Catholic Parish and makes serving his community a priority.  His hobby is music and he has been a permanent member of the Houston Symphony Chorus since 2004.   He is fluent in Spanish.
