James R. McClamroch attended the University of Texas and graduated in May 1973, with a BA degree in the Plan II honors program. He attended LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans and graduated with an MD degree in December 1976.
In 1977, he began an intership and a residency training program a the Louisiana State University. He was named Chief Medical Resident in Internal Medicine.
He then began a fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases a the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas and completed the program n July 1982.
Dr. McClamroch married his wife, Margie, 1992. They have two daughters, Haley and Caitlin, and 3 grandchildren, Reid, Jack, and Ellen all of whom are major joys in his life.
